The Kentucky River is just beautiful right now, it's the prettiest shade of green and is very clear. Let us know if you'd like to schedule a llama trek- we only need a day's notice most of the time! The first show of the season is Southern Select on March 4th and 5th, our first spring alpaca crias are arriving at the end of March..... and then on to shearing in April

Thanks Deb, we are blessed. We're due for 3-5 inches of rain in the next 24 hours so that lovely color of the river will be gone for a while, as I'm sure it will be turning a muddy brown.
Okay so we are new to this whole alpaca raising...so this may be a stupid question...how come your alpacas have thick fleece all over their faces? My guys have never fleece up on their faces / noses...
Andy and Deb, oftentimes very dense alpacas will have this type of facial coverage when they're young. Most will lose it as they mature, and we don't especially want it on a mature animal (though we like a thick topknot). I hope this answers your question!
